The Rhythm of Life - Matthew Kelly

This book is full of wisdom and is one of my most gifted books. Kelly writes about living life with passion, purpose and more.

 Good Leaders Ask Great Questions  - John C. Maxwell 

Influential people ask profound questions. The quality of your life is determined by the quality of your questions. This book is refreshingly practical and took my leadership ability to the next level. Question asking is like a muscle that must be developed and applied to every situation in life. An essential read for leaders. 

Developing the Leader Within You - John C. Maxwell

Inspiring book full of quotes and examples of great leaders. I have gifted this book to young leaders. If you want to influence people and make a difference, read this.

Zero to One - Peter Thiel

Challenge your thinking as you dive into the mind of billionaire. This book talks about keys to creating a definite future through optimism and creativity. As I read, I was glad Peter Thiel didn't decided to become a super villain...he has a brilliant mind.

The Gifts of Imperfection - Brené Brown

Many pastoral counselors recommend this book as their first choice. Dr. Brown talks about living whole-heartedly and free from shame. She is a captivating story teller and a brilliant researcher that has distilled her findings into a smooth path to becoming fully alive. I recommend this to anymore interested in emotional intelligence and counseling. 

Man's Search for Meaning - Viktor Frankl

Viktor Frankl tells of his experience surviving a concentration camp in WWII and what he observed as commonalities in other survivors. This book is a top recommendation by Tony Robbins...after reading it, I understand why. Excellent read especially for those suffering.

 A Framework for Understanding Poverty - Ruby K. Payne, Ph.D.

I found this book to bring self revelation of my own upbringing and mindsets I inherited. Dr. Payne gives an in-depth analysis of the mindsets in poverty, middle-class, and the wealthy. This is a must read for educators, employers and anyone wanting to understand.change social status. We as believers are called to take care of the poor. This book will help you understand how. *This link is for the 4th edition because it is more popular than the 5th* 

Boundaries - Henry Cloud & John Townsend

I was raised in an environment filled with anxiety and debilitating mindsets. This book was extremely helpful when it came to taking control of my life. If you feel out of control or you want to reclaim internal peace, Henry Cloud and John Townsend can help.

Keep Your Love On - Danny Silk

Danny Silk is a family guru and imparts insight that can mend broken relationships. In this book Danny talks about boundaries, connection and communication. After reading this, I prioritize heart to heart connection with people (rather than being right). This has left me feeling fulfilled and with a sense of belonging. Your relationships will significantly influence your quality of life so why not invest in learning how to practice relationships well?

Culture of Honor - Danny Silk

Great read for church leaders. Talks about confronting in love, church government (how it should be) and more. One of the best books I have read on the subject.

Easy to Love, Difficult to Discipline - Becky A. Bailey, Ph.D.

Highly recommend this book to new parents. I don't have kids yet but youth ministry made me realize how much I don't know about raising champions. Dr. Bailey's focus is to change yourself and to provide a safe environment for you kids to make wise choices. I intend to use this book as a reference in the future. 

Hosting the Presence - Bill Johnson

Revelatory book on being led by the Spirit. Bill is one of the wisest men I have seen. I have learned from him for years and my admiration only increases.

John G. Lake. His Life. His Sermons. His Boldness of Faith 

This book got me fired up. I could feel John G. Lake's passion leap off the page right onto my face. Amazing testimonies and sermons. If you are looking for a hero, John G. Lake is and excellent candidate.

God's Generals - Roberts Liardon

This book contains snippets from the lives of many great believers. These include John G Lake, Smith Wigglesworth and more. Liardon records and gives his commentary on both their victories and failures. Lots of amazing testimonies and stories. Be sure to check out more from his Generals series. 

Beyond Human - Justin Paul Abraham

I recently read this book within 24 hrs of receiving it. Just writes about incredible stories of both old Christian Mystics and believers living today. Some of the topics include angelic visitations, mastery over creation and infused knowledge. I found the book to be inspiring and challenging. It is like gasoline being poured on fired for desiring to know God!

Mysteries, Marvels and Miracles: In the Lives of the Saints - Joan Carroll Cruz

This book is a highlight reel of supernatural experiences in the lives of the saints (hence the title). Engage your childlike wonder and expand what you believe to be possible from reading this!

Standing in the Council of The Lord - Kenney Carlton

This is a short book I recently read that I would recommend to anyone interested in the prophetic or in mystical experience. I learned much from Carlton's study and insights. It is essentially a bible study. Less than 100 pages.

The Four Hour Work Week - Tim Ferriss

I recommend this book as a starting point for anyone interested in entrepreneurship. Tim Ferriss is a master learner and communicates clear steps to design your desired lifestyle. Reading it imparted hope in me to hold on to dreams and see them come to fruition. 

Tools of Titans - Tim Ferriss

Listen to one man and you will become a clone. Listen to two men and you will become confused. Listen to many men and you will become wise. I recommend this book because it gives excellent exposure different philosophies of many successful people. From billionaire investors to world class athletes, Tim records hundreds of tips for being healthy, wealthy and wise. There is definitely some worldly wisdom in there but the book is dense with value.  Besides...ignorance is not bliss. 

 Rich Dad Poor Dad - Robert Kiyosaki

One of the more influential books I have read. Growing up in a poverty mentality, my heart burned when I read this book. Kiyosaki writes about wealthy mindsets and pursuing financial freedom. 

Rich Dad's Cashflow Quadrant - Robert Kiyosaki

Part two of Rich Dad Poor Dad. Another great read for those desiring to take control of their finances. Worth reading more than once.

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People - Stephen R. Covey

Spectacular book on personal development. It has sold millions of copies for a reason. It contains many biblical principles regarding relationships, time management and more. One of my favorite habits is "Seek first to understand, then to be understood."

How to Talk to Anyone - Leil Lowndes

This book was one of my first exposures to communication development. Being rather shy and dreading any human interaction, this book taught me that the skill of conversing can be learned and developed. I am now relieved of social anxiety and I enjoy practicing Lowndes' little tricks. Enjoy.
